Join Chef Irene as she demonstrates the art of handmade dumplings. Chef Irene is the owner of Mei Mei, two-time winner of Boston’s Best Dumplings from Boston Magazine. Her passion for local and sustainable ingredients, food justice, and equity in the restaurant industry have made her a six-time James Beard Rising Star nominee.

This event covers everything you need to make dumplings at home including hand-folding techniques and how to achieve that perfect pan-sear.* Chef Irene will also share her perspective on diversity, equity, and inclusion through her experience as a female Chinese-American business owner.

Learning about diverse cultures develops mutual understanding, fosters empathy and enriches our lives. As domestic violence and AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) hate crimes have increased over the past year, ATASK recognizes its unique position to drive awareness and save lives. Join ATASK in building an inclusive community and supporting domestic violence survivors.

*For those who want to cook during the event, the ingredient list and recipe will be sent upon ticket purchase.
